US WW2 M1943 combat field jacket. Issued to most branch of service.
This model is post WW2 made for the Greek Army and is made to a very similar design to the US M43 as they were originally issued army surplus M43 jackets after the war so the design carried on till the 1980's
The M43 jacket is made of tought military standard cotton
- Button up front
- Button cuffs
- 4 buttoned pockets
- Removable winter liner
- Removable unlined hood
- Used super grade 1 condition
By the winter of 1944/45 the US Army was changing the uniform of the combat soldier and the M43 uniform became standard issue to most branch of services. This green uniform gave some camouflage for the European theatre and was warmer and more durable than the M41 field jacket and the M42 para jacket it replaced. It was used in Holland, Battle of the Bulge (Bastogne) and in Germany.
