This badge set is what British Glider Infantry would have worn on their Battle Dress clothing when based in UK and on combat operations.

It was worn by Glider troops of:

  • British 6th Airborne Division during Operation Overlord invasion of Europe Normandy June 6th 1944


The Oxford and Buckinghamshire light infantry landed on June 6th by Horsa Glider on Pegasus canal bride in Normandy commanded by Major Howard, and held it till relived by commandos latter that day.

This set contains the following woven badges:

  • 2 x Oxs and Bucks regiment shoulder titles
  • 2 x Pegasus patches
  • 2 x Airborne strips
  • 1 x Glider qualified wings with green background( worn on the lower right arm)
  • 1 x beret badge backing
