French Cuirassier troopers Napoleonic Sword by Lantern Armouries.

The Cuirassier Trooper was a well armoured soldier with Breast plates, Helmets, pistols, carbines and of course the Cuirassiers sword which was fitting to such a formidable soldier. The Sword was heavy, and a thick double fullered blade was ideal for charging or thrusting.

Lantern Armouries French Cuirassier sword is handmade by Sword smiths using traditional craftsman's methods and has all the features of the originals including:

  • Double fullered steel Blade
  • Blade length 37 1/2 long
  • Blade etched with date and arnsenel, 
  • " Manufacture Imperial du Kingenthal Octobre 1813"
  • Blade  stamped with 
  • "A" first class inspection mark by armoury
  • "B" "L"  the proofer's mark and initial 
  • Brass Hand guard with hand stamped  issue number 
  • Leather grip wrapped in brass wire
  • Steel scabbard with twin rings
  • Weight of sword and scabbard 2200 grams
