German WW2 Tank Destruction Badge in Gold.
The Gold version was awarded after the destruction of the 5th enemy tank. The recipient would be wearing 4 Silver tank destruction badges and on the 5th tank kill they would be replaced with this Gold. Any further tank kills would be awarded another Silver until the 5th again.
In World War Two the Tank Destruction Badge (silver) was awarded to individuals of the Army who had destroyed an enemy tank single-handedly by a hand-held weapon, members of Anti-tank units were not eligible for this award.
