German WW2 Grossdeutschland shoulder boards with G.D. lettering embroidered onto them. They have the white piping for infantry and are a green wool background.
Grossdeutschland Regiment formed in early 1939. This was the elite Heer (Army) Infantry regiment and unlike other reiments drew recurits from the whole of Germany. During the war they expanded to a division in 1942 and finally to a Panzer grenadier Division equiped with Panzers, Panthers and armoured cars.
