The first version of the MA-1 flying jacket replaced the B15 flying jacket. Later versions of the MA1 dropped a few of the features of the first model as technology advanced. like the front tab for the oxygen mask to be clipped onto when not in use was removed as the design of the masks changed. Also later models where made reversible with an orange emergency liner, which was to become the iconic MA1.
