1937 Webbing Battle Order Green Set By GSE

£119.99 £99.99

1937 Battle Order webbing set by GSE (General Service Equipment)

This 1937 battle webbing set would have been what a Combat Infantry man would have worn when he landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th 1944. The set contains ammo pouches to carry grenades, ammo and mags, a small pack on your back to carry rations, mess tins and groundsheet. There's also a water bottle carrier  and if wanted you can add an entrenching tool, bayonet frog and water bottle available extra.

  • 2 x 1937 MK3 Ammo pouches
  • 1 x 1937 webbing belt
  • 2 x Main shoulder cross Straps
  • 1 x Small pack
  • 2  x Shoulder L straps for small pack
  • 1 x Water bottle cover (water bottle extra)

By the middle of the war all soldiers would have blancoed their khaki webbing to colour KG3 (Khaki green N03) This was so the webbing could blend in with the natural camouflage of the trees and vegetation of Europe. The soldiers continued to Blanco their webbing when battling north in operation Market Garden at Arhnem and the crossing of the Rhine in Operation Varsity.

  • Belt is size Long/ large  and can adjust from 30 to 44" waist
  • Cross straps to fit a man upto 6ft (180cms)
  • Webbing canvas is made in green so should not need to be blancoed again (colour dye)
  • Buckles are brass so can be polished up if required for parade
