This US Garrison cap has the mid war Airborne cap badge sewn onto it, so it is ready to wear. The mid war cap badge has a combined parachute and glider design with a blue trim, which was the type of badge introduced after Normandy when the Paratroopers and Glider troops where issued the same cap badge.

These Garrison caps are made by Kay Canvas and are made from a specially commissioned run of wool to ensure the correct colour and feel of the war time ones, do not confuse these with other replica hats which are made from a high nylon content or which are too short in the height so they do not fit correctly. These side caps are one of the best replicas available a lot of time and effort has gone into making sure the colour and fabric is correct including the correct shade of blue for the Infantry piping.

The O.D. (Olive Drab) wool garrison cap was worn with the A class dress uniform (4 pocket tunic or the short Ike jacket) and when you wearing the M9137 wool trousers and wool shirt, or with the likes of the M41 field jacket. It can be seen being worn around camp, while travelling and while training or simply down town at a dance or pub. It can be seen almost anywhere except the front line.
