Scharfuhrer LAH Recon SS Shoulder Boards Subdued Tresse By RUM

£14.99 £12.49

Waffen SS LAH Recon black wool shoulder boards with the rank of Scharfuhrer in subdued tresse.

These German WW2 Waffen SS shoulder boards have the LAH (Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler) letters embroidered directly onto the shoulder boards with recon piping and subdued rank tresse.

The LAH (usually abbreviated to 1st SS Pz.Div LSSAH) was Adolf Hitler’s personal bodyguard and one of the most famous combat units in WW2. The LAH fought in almost every major campaign in WW2

The rank tresse is the subdued version and not the early shiny silver ones.

The SS used black wool shoulder boards throughout the war the only thing that really changed was the rank tresse that was sewn onto the edges of shoulder boards. The tresse was originally silver but during the war (sometime in 1940) the tresse was changed to a grey colour with a slight green shade. After 1940 both silver and the subdued tresse was worn on the shoulder boards.

Price is for a pair of SS shoulder boards with the LHA, Recon piping and the subdued tresse for a Scharfuhrer.

Part of the Richard Underwood Militaria range.
