Pea Dot Camouflage Panzer Wrapover with Arm Eagle by RUM

At the start of 1944 the Waffen SS started to issue a two piece camouflage uniform specific for armoured crews to replace the one piece combi camouflage suit.

The uniform was the Panzer Wrapover made in the Waffen SS Pea dot camouflage. Pea dot camouflage is also know as "Erbsenmuster" and "Pea Pattern".

This is a quality Richard Underwood Militaria camouflage panzer wrapover tunic replica, made in the standard Waffen SS cut. The tunic is unlined and made from a quality HBT (Herring Bone Twill) fabric and has a Waffen SS arm eagle sewn on to it.

The Waffen SS Pea pattern camouflage wrapover has the following features:

• Straight vertical wrapover flap closure.
• Flap is closed by 4 large resin buttons which are concealed and 3 smaller resin buttons which are exposed.
• Internal part of the flap is secured by two buttons on the inside.
• Neck has a metal hook and loop fastener.
• Two cotton ties on the inside for size adjustment.
• Internal pocket on the left breast.
• Sleeve cuffs have a slit at the end and are closed by two resin buttons.
• Back panel is made from a single panel so there is no centre vertically seam.
• Four vertical darts (two at the back, two at the front) which gives it a better fitted look.
• Made from quality HBT fabric with the correct coarse feel.
• Tunic is unlined and has the correct looking stamps on the inside.
• SS Arm eagle sewn onto the left sleeve.

A note on insignia.

The only insignia authorised to be worn on this tunic was the Waffen SS eagle on the left arm although even this was sometimes not worn. No collar patches or shoulder boards were authorised to be worn (that is why there are no fittings on the shoulders for the attachment of shoulder boards), although some troops did attach shoulder boards themselves.
