Mk1 Sten gun Bayonet for the Mk2 sten gun

Designed in 1942 and made during 1943 and 1944        

The STEN Mk. 1 bayonet was fabricated out of sheet steel and utilized a rod-style blade from the No. 4 Mk. II socket bayonet.  this enabled the STEN Mk. I bayonet to use the existing scabbard.

The bayonet slipped over the front muzzle and clips into the hand guard

Stamped on the spring  B & JS ltd 

Most of the original bayonets  were destroyed after the War.
