This is a quality replica of the M-1929 barracks bag, Issued to the US Army soldiers in the 1930's and 1940's originally as a duffel bag (kit bag) it was then replaced in the 1940's by one made in OD colour.
The M1929 barracks bag is made from blue denim material and has white stitching and unlike other replicas this one has the correct thick cotton rope drawstring and brass eyelets.
This is a simply design of bag that looks good as a early war display or something to give the look of an hold hand. Looks great as vintage bag.
You can see a blue denim barracks on the tank in the film "Kelly's Hero's" which is how they would have been used on vehicle's in the war just thrown or strapped onto jeeps etc.
