Officially these where called "Model 1939 Gloves, Horsehide, Riding", these jump gloves are made to the same specifications as the originals and where worn by the 82nd Airborne Division, 101st Airborne Division and where also worn by the US Rangers.

This is the first pattern which has the strap and buckle on the wrist. Originally designed and issued to cavalry troops as riding gloves. Issued to the airborne to help protect the hands from the parachute risers. These where not intended to be used as a work glove so they are not made of thick heavy duty leather.
