US WW2 chinstrap for the paratrooper helmet.
This is for the early 1st pattern para helmet the one with the fixed 'D' bales.
The cotton webbing is made with the correct weave of 11 rows and is in the OD#3 (khaki/tan) colour.
The buckle is brass with a black painted finish and it has the raised bar on it. At each end of the chinstrap there are press studs so it can be fastened into the para helmet liner. The press studs on this chinsatrap are the correct nickel colour.
