Replica WW2 4 pocket A class service tunics. These are the 1942 model and are the type worn by all the branches of service in the US Army in WW2 including Infantry, Airborne, Air Force, Armoured, Military Police etc.
Made by Kay Canvas with custom made wool. These took a while to get the fit correct and the wool correct, but it has been worth the wait.
The wool has been specially made for these tunics by Kay Canvas. After examining over 10 different original WW2 tunics, all of them different manufacturers and most of them a slightly different shade to each other. This wool was decided on the best match to the war time tunics.
Not only is the colour great but the finish on the wool is also a great match. Some of the previous reproductions have been given a too smooth a finish or have not had enough wool content so do not feel right to the touch. These tunics by Kay Canvas are ideal for your WW2 impression.

The enlisted mans wool service coat was worn in WW2 with the M1937 wool trousers, M1937 field shirt, tan tie and overseas garrison cap.
American 1942 pattern enlisted service wool 4 pocket tunic features:
- Four front pockets with brass button closures.
- Front is fastened by 4 large brass buttons
- Buttons have the US Army eagle crest design on them.
- Made from specially commissioned wool.
- Inside is part lined in cotton.
- Shoulder epaulettes loops are fastened with a brass button.

Size measurements.
The chest is measured across the front of the tunic from underneath the arms with the tunic laid flat. The waist is measured across the top of the lower pockets. The sleeve is the outside sleeve length from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve cuff. The back length is measured from the neck seam to the bottom of the tunic.
