American WW2 dog tags stamped as in 1941 to 1943.

These are replica US Army dog tags as issued in the second world war to the American G.I.'s. The tags have notch cut into them which makes the WW2 Army dog tags different to the modern US dog tags.

These are stamped on a genuine period US Military dog tag machine and they are correctly stamped and not embossed like modern tags, so they give you the genuine WW2 look.

In WW2 the US used the same dog tags but the layout of what information was printed on the tags changed a few times. This is the information that was printed on US GI dog tags between July 1943 and March 1944.

The following information was stamped on the US Army Dog tags between July 1943 and March 1944.

  • Line 2. Army serial number, Tetanus shot year, blood type.
