US M1936 Suspenders in Transitional Green and Tan

Now £14.99 £12.49 Was £24.99

American M36 suspenders in the transitional webbing pattern which is green and tan colour.

M1936 webbing suspenders are distinctive as the wider shoulder straps are green (OD#7) and the front straps are the lighter tan (OD#3) colour. The small webbing strap on the back which holds the green back straps together are also tan colour, making the whole mix looking rather different to standard and more common tan (OD#3) colour webbing.

During WW2 the American army changed the colour of their webbing from OD#3 (tan) to OD#7 (green) during the changeover of colours the factories had both colours of webbing in stock so for a time period in the war they used a mixture of both colours of webbing. These webbing items made from two colours of webbing are now called the "Transitional" pattern webbing.

Most of the transitional webbing that was made was the very first webbing to be made using the darker green colour so they would have been the first dark green webbing shipped to the front line. Because of this most original transitional webbing is now unusual to find as most of it was worn on the front line.

These replica transitional M36 suspenders have fully adjustable back and front straps.

Like the standard tan M36 suspenders there is a metal "D" on the front so that the clips on the straps of a musette bag can be clipped on, allowing the musette bag to be carried on the back like a rucksack.

Price is for a set of US WW2 M1936 suspenders in transitional green/tan.
