American Vietnam M56 webbing canteen carrier.
This is M1956 water bottle pouch which was the standard water bottle (canteen) cover used in the Vietnam war by the US Army.
This fits the standard US military plastic 1 qt water bottle (called a canteen in America) but in Vietnam they where also used to carry extra M16 magazines.
The pouch is lined and is closed by two flaps which are secured by press studs, metal belt keepers on the back so you can fit it onto M56 belts or onto the Lightweight ruck etc.
This quality replica has the correct US stamped on the front and the correct markings on the back.
