US Army WW2 1943 Womens M43 Trousers by Kay Canvas

From £49.99 £41.66

American WW2 Women's M43 combat trousers, officially called "Trousers Women's Outer Cover".

Made as part of the M43 uniform and issued with the M43 Women's jacket. These are the first pattern trousers which have a tapered leg at the ankle and an elastic strap which goes under the heel of the shoes. Gaiters usually covered the under strap and the taper leg fitted better under the gaiters. If wearing boots like the buckle boot the strap and tapered trousers would be perfect to be worn inside the boot.

The 1943 pattern women's trousers have the following features:

  • Two waist tabs with button adjustments.
  • Trousers are fastened on one side by 4 buttons.
  • Two front slash hand pockets.
  • Bottom of legs are tapered.
  • Elastic strap on the bottom of the legs which goes around your foot.

Please note these are the first pattern which was worn in WW2, there was a later pattern trouser which is often referred to as the second pattern but the second pattern did not really arrive into Europe in large numbers before the end of the war.
