1937 webbing MK3 water bottle carrier by GSE (General Service Equipment)
This 1937 webbing water bottle carrier would have been similar to what a soldier would have worn in WW2, this harness is worn on the soldiers left side connected to the ends of the cross straps. The MKVII water bottle would be carried inside. It is made from khaki canvas and brass fittings.
Water bottle not included.
Sale price as the top strap has been made about 25mm to short and will not close.
By the middle of the WW2 soldiers were fighting around the world, the deserts of North Africa, the hot jungle climate of Burma and the med but all would have been issued this same webbing set. If needed their khaki webbing was blancoed to the correct colour. Not all troops blancoed there webbing and many units in Europe and UK can be seen wearing natural coloured blancoed
