This badge set is what Infantry Soldiers would have worn on their Battle Dress clothing when based in UK and on combat operations.

• British 50th TT (Tyne’s Tees) Division during Operation Overlord invasion of Europe Normandy June 6th 1944 

This Badge set would have been worn by all soldiers in the 2nd Bn The Essex Regiment on their BD Battle Dress uniform in Operation Overlord the Invasion of Normandy as part of the 50th division when they arrived in landing Crafts on the morning of 6th June 1944, 

He was a member of the 50th Division and so wears the TT Div patch and Infantry Arm of service stripes on both upper Arms with his Regimental shoulder titles Essex above these.
