This badge set is what Infantry Soldiers would have worn on their Battle Dress clothing when based in UK and on combat operations.

• British 43rd Wessex Division during Operation Overlord invasion of Europe Normandy 1944 

This Badge set would have been worn by all soldiers in the 7th Hampshire Regiment on their BD Battle Dress uniform in Operation Overlord the Invasion of Normandy as part of the  43rd division when they arrived in landing Crafts on the morning of 6th June 1944, 

He was a member of the 43rd Division and so wears the Wessex patch and Infantry Arm of service stripes on both upper Arms with his Regimental shoulder titles above these.
