American Indian Wars Cavalry Belt Rig Set

Cavalry belt rig set for a trooper fighting in the American Indian Wars in the American plains.
This is the standard issue belt set for the US Cavalry solider and is based around the 1874 leather belt.
The 1874 leather belt was a belt designed to be used by both Infantry and Cavalry, previous Cavalry belts had fixed sword hanging straps fixed onto the belt. So the Infantry and Cavalry had different belts, the 1874 belt could have separate sword clipped on if a sword was needed to be carried.
On this Cavalry set we have not included any sword/sabre hanging straps as by this time a lot of Cavalry troopers did not carry the Cavalry sabre into the field or they where clipped onto the horse saddle and not on the troopers belt.
This reproduction belt rig is great for an American Indian Wars Cavalry impression for either re-enactment, display or just for the man cave.
Cavalry belt rig set consists of the following items:
- 1874 leather belt with 1872 US brass buckle, sizes below.
- Cut down flap revolver pistol holster.
- Pistol cartridge pouch.
- Carbine cartridge pouch.
- Cap pouch for pistol and carbine.
Size:
- Medium belt measures from 41" to 47" (104 to 120cm). Will fit someone approximately with a waist of between a 34" and 42" when worn over a coat.
- Large belt measures from 49" to 56" (124 to 142cm). Will fit someone approximately with a waist of between a 42" and 50" when worn over a coat.
