German WW2 Luftwaffe Blue M43 Greatcoat by RUM

M43 Luftwaffe blue wool overcoat (greatcoat).

This wool overcoat (mantel) is made to the correct WW2 Luftwaffe design and is ideal for cold winter days or the cold summer nights.

This is the M43 pattern which has a larger collar than the previous model.

The Luftwaffe greatcoat was worn throughout the war in Europe and was by all Luftwaffe units including the Fallschirmjager.

This quality replica greatcoat in Luftwaffe blue is by Richard Underwood Militaria and features:

• Two rows of six metal buttons (pebble finished and Luftwaffe blue painted) down the front fasten the greatcoat. 
• Made from wool in Luftwaffe blue colour.
• Cotton twill liner.
• Metal hook on top of collar to fasten the greatcoat all the way to the top.
• Collar can be turned up, this M43 model has a larger collar than the previous model.
• A button and tab is hidden under the collar so when the collar is turned up the tab fastens across the front.
• Two hand pockets secured with a flap and a single button.
• Inside chest pockets.
• Sleeve cuff has a 14cm fold back.
• Sewn in belt at the back is secured by two metal buttons with pebble finish.
• The cut in the back is 28" (71cm) long from the bottom hem and has four buttons running along the cut and a metal hook and eye fastener near the bottom, so you can fasten the back cut closed if required.
• Includes 1 set of Luftwaffe shoulder boards.
• Collar tabs are not included, collar tabs where worn on greatcoats until September 1942 by frontline troops.

Sizes. These are sized as a fitted tunic so the Medium will fit a 40" chest if worn over a shirt. Sizes guide below are given if wearing over a shirt.

• Medium fits a 40" (102cm) chest.
• Large fits a 42" (108CM) chest.
• X-Large fits a 44" (112cm) chest.
• XX-Large fits a 46" (116cm) chest.
