American WW2 M2 paratroopers knife.
The original M2 was designed to be opened one handed so it was made as a switchblade. It was carried in the neck pocket of the World War Two US para M42 jump jacket and the idea was that if you got into difficulty when you landed by being entangled, you could cut yourself free from suspension straps and risers even if you had a broken arm.
This replica M2 knife has the features of the original like the black plastic grips, lanyard loop, blade release button and locking slide switch. This has been made as a normal folding knife and opens fully up although there is no spring inside so it does not work as a switchblade (flick knife) so it is legal to buy and own.
Lanyard is not included.
