The .44 calibre Colt Army percussion revolver was widely used in the American Civil War (A.C.W.) and it continued in service with the US Army after the war and in particular the US Cavalry on the Indian plains. During the Civil War and afterwards with the US Army there was not a standardisation of weapons and various pistols would be used within the same unit.
This is a metal replica of the 0.44 cal Colt M1860 Army revolver with wood grips. This replica has a gun metal (dull silver) finish and it can be cocked and fired, when the hammer is pulled part way back the chamber will rotate allowing the reloading process to be performed.
As this firearm has a mechanism and appearance of before 1870 it can be sold to any persons over the age of 18 years upon receipt of valid ID.
It does not come under the VCR act, so you do not need to be a member of a re-enactment group to purchase this replica.
