Combat Infantry badge1st Award.

This Combat Infantry Badge (C.I.B.) in subdued colours was introduced during the Vietnam war and replaced the cloth colour version worn on the tropical combat uniform.

The CIB has black embroidery on a green background.

The American Combat Infantry Badge (C.I.B.) 1st award is the same as the Infantryman's badge but has the wreath around it.

This was awarded was given to any soldier who had seen active frontline service.

It was awarded to all ranks from Private up to and including Colonel.

Cloth sew on CIB for wear on the tropical jungle uniform.
