French M49 green bush hat worn by French forces in Indochina and Algeria during the 1950's and 1960's.
Wide brimmed sun or bush hat with a sewn in chinstrap. There are 4 ventilation eyelets (2 on each side) around with a press stud on one side so the brim can be clipped up on one side.
The hat has the distinctive stitching pattern.
It has a central seam running across the top of the hat which allows you to push down the middle to shape the hat.
Colour Green.
