German SS Infantryman's late War MP-44 webbing set
This set represents a late war German SS Soldier serving in an Infantry Grenadier regiment from Normandy to the Ardennes and finally the Defence of Germany.
He would have been equipped with an MP-44 assault rifle which he carries the ammo in canvas ammo pouches, his equipment is a mix of Canvas and leather as basic raw materials were getting hard to find at this late stage of the war
He is also carrying a late war folding shovel and the simplified M1944 Bread bag with a green covered waterbottle with a plastic cup plus green painted mess tins hang from the bread bag . The gas mask tin now has the Gas cape strapped around it for convenience using some straps he has cobbled together from discarded kit
