WW2 Japanese Model 32 steel helmet with metal Japanese star on the front.
This is a replica of the standard Japanese helmet used in WW2.
The steel shell has a metal star badge fixed to the front of the helmet, late war helmets had a painted star.
Good detailing even the liner has the correct three internal pockets to hold padding (padding included) which gave some comfort and size adjustment.
The chinstrap is cotton webbing which is tied together and fastened under the chin. The chinstrap is attached to the helmet by being looped and sewn into three special low tension spiral rings which are designed to break free in heavy fire to prevent the wearer being strangled or the neck breaking.
The liner is leather and has a leather lace in the crown to adjust the height of the helmet.
One size which is about a 58 to 60 cm, the size can be adjusted with the leather ties in the top of the liner and by adding or removing the 3 internal pads in the headband.
