In January 1943 resistance groups asked for a silenced version of the Sten gun and so the MKII (S) was developed to retro fit onto a MKII Sten gun and fitted with a pistol grip for better concealment while carrying out anti partisan missions behind enemy lines.

You will have to assemble the pistol grip and silencer onto the denix. The barrel is removed by undoing the retaining screw and carefully working around the barrel with wedge or screw driver prising it out. The stock is removed by depressing the retaining nub and sliding the stock downwards.

The original design silencer was design for the barrel nut and barrel to be removed by unscrewing them. The silencer, with built in barrel, is then fitted. The silencer had a series of 18 internal baffles to help suppress the sound. Lower power ammunition, a lighter spring and breach were required when using the silencer. Please note this silencer has no baffles inside and is NOT to be used on a firing gun. It will not reduce any noise its a replica.

The replica guns are sold as props for film, theatre and re-enactment use. We can only ship them to a UK address via courier (excluding the Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly and the Channel Islands which we cannot ship to because of flight restrictions). Sorry we cannot send them outside of the U.K. They are made to look and feel realistic and although they are made from metal, it is not a gun metal and they are designed so they cannot chamber or fire any rounds of ammunition. They are designed for prop use and they have moving parts, although excessive use will wear the parts out, worn out parts are not covered by the warranty and the manufacture does not make or supply spare parts.
