This set would have been worn by a Royal Airforce Regiment Corporal from 1939-1942 on his SD Service Dress uniform and then from 1942-1945 on his Battle Dress.
RAF Regiment were mainly used as Air base Security and manning the Anti-Aircraft guns, After the invasion of Normandy they could be seen in advanced RAF bases near the German lines
The RAF Sleeve Eagles were worn by all ranks except Officers and Warrant Officers, Stripes were also worn on both arms.
