2nd Pattern Jungle Fatigue Trousers Poplin Cotton Vietnam War

2nd pattern tropical jungle fatigue trousers. 

The second pattern tropical combat trousers where introduced in January 1965 and improved on the original design by covering the exposed buttons. The covered buttons was introduced because of complaints the exposed buttons snagged on undergrowth and branches in the jungle. 

The 2nd pattern is made from poplin cotton and does have the ripstop weave in the fabric.

The poplin cotton is the same material as used on the first pattern jungle uniform.

2nd pattern tropical combat trousers features:

• Poplin cotton.
• No ripstop weave, just plain cotton.
• Button waist adjustable tabs.
• Belt loops on waist band.
• All buttons are covered.
• Button fly.
• Gas flap behind the fly.
• 2 front slash pockets.
• 2 rear seat pockets.
• 2 cargo leg pockets.
• 1 internal pocket in the left hand cargo pocket.
• Leg ties stitched in the cargo pockets to tie around leg.
• Leg ties on the bottom of the legs.
• Green.

Waist is the maximum waist size before any adjustments with the tabs. So by fastening the tabs or moving the buttons on the tabs you will be able to make the waist smaller.
