Army council Instructions 852 announced that the Pegasus Divisional Badge would be manufactured in a printed form. A number of contracts were issued and the main handler of contracts was the Calico Printers association that oversaw a large selection of fabric manufactures within the UK, The fabric selected was called Drill No2 of a coarse weave and Satin Drill No2 cotton fine weave, both types of fabric are seen on wartime uniforms but the 2 fabrics seem to have ended up with a different colour when worn and washed.

  • The finer weaver material sems to hold the dye less and fades to a redder colour.
  • The Coarse weave material seems to hold the darker marron colour better.

We are offering both models for you to choose.
