RAF 1943 Flying Boots Original WW2 issue 

A really nice pair of 1943 Pattern Escape Flying Boots  and a very good size 9/8 (approx) as they are not size marked.Ive tried them with a thin sock and they fit a 9 so could do both sizes 

The Royal Air Force Escape boots are in Excellent condition. The outer sheepskin suede is perfect, with no marks or blemishes whilst the interior is unmolested by moth damage with lovely, bright, fluffy sheepskin. The lower leather shoe section is also in good condition, with a few marks and wear from being worn and the leather soles are original not replacements. 

The zips are Lighting made and marked correctly with the broad arrow, and both run freely.

Designed by Clayton Hutton at MI9, these 'Escape' boots were ingeniously designed so that the upper suede section could be cut away by using the folded pocket knife that was held in the pocket in the right boot (not included ) in the event a pilot had to ditch over enemy territory.
