MK2 Original (South African made) Tommy helmet
Original MK2 Tommy helmet Shell made in South Africa during the War.
These Original Helmet shells have restored and re-sprayed in sand colour fitted a new Mk2 chinstrap and Mk2 liner.
This model is made of a lighter weight steel, has 3 holes at the back for a neck curtain and was used mainly by troops serving in North Africa and the middle east.
The helmet also differs from the British model by the rim not being perfectly round but wider on the side, and the rim is welded on the right hand side and not the back.
