This is the iconic image you see of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel the Desert Fox who wore his Generals Visor Cap with British Anti Gas goggles during the North Africa Campaign 1940-42.
The Germans captured large stocks of British equipment and Rommel must have found these practical to use as Dust goggles and keep the ready to use on his Cap.
Please Note take care as due to the age of the goggles( 80 years old) they might be brittle and the press studs corroded which need to be cleaned. Intended on for display and not used for re enactment
