1941 first pattern HBT jacket was introduced in 1941 by the US Army. This 1st pattern jacket replaced the blue denim uniform and were the first green HBT trousers issued by the US Army in WW2.

This is the shorter HBT jacket which has a 2 1/2" (7cm) wide waist band around the bottom and two small breast pockets which have a center pleat in them and a flap closure, so it resembles a denim work jacket in looks.

The WW2 First pattern HBT jacket features:

  • Metal buttons with 13 star design on them.
  • Two breast pockets.
  • Band around the bottom hem.
  • Adjustable tab and buckle on each side of the waist band.
  • Metal buttons on the sleeve cuffs.
  • Heavier HBT fabric than our 1943 pattern HBTs that we sell.

This HBT jacket was based on the 1930's/1940's work jacket.
