US WW2 M1937 BAR belt original dated 1942.
Original belt in very good condition almost unissued. This is the standard WW2 design BAR belt with 6 pockets.
Marked on the back of the pouch "Boyt 42". Very good condition.
The M1937 B.A.R. belt is the standard ammunition belt for the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) used in World War Two by all the American forces including the Infantry and Airborne.
Officially called the "Belt, Magazine, B.A.R., M1937".
The belt has 6 pockets which each hold 2 BAR magazines giving a total carrying capacity of 12 magazines or 10 magazines if you use one of the pockets to carry the special cleaning kit.
Colour: Khaki/tan which was officially called OD#3.
