US Officers Pinks Garrison cap.
This American garrison cap is made in the Pinks fabric with the officers braid.
During WW2 the US Army used two designs of Garrison caps, both style caps can be worn for any period of WW2.
This is the first design (which is similar to the American WW1 garrison cap) which has rounded or tapered corners with a gusset on the top.
This Officers garrison cap with the rounded corners was introduced in 1939 and was called the Overseas Garrison cap which was designed to be worn instead of the service cap (with the peak). Our Officers garrison cap is made from the same fabric as our Officers Pinks trousers so they can be worn with the Officers 4 pocket tunic and the short Officers Ike jacket.
This is high quality hat with an officers braid of gold and black in cotton. The wool fabric is a good weight and in the Pinks colour, to finish off the quality look the inner headband is leather and has a period looking maker label sewn in the headband which reads "Regulation Army Officers Uniform Tailored by Kay Canvas".
Fabric is 85% Wool and 15% Polyester.
The officers uniform could be mixed and matched with the OD 51 and the Pinks clothing, so the Pinks garrison cap can be worn with any of the Officers uniforms.
