US WW2 Leather sheath holders for Knife and Fork mess set
Leather sheath holder for the US Army cutlery set.
To protect the canvas and the knife and fork while they are in your bag, the US Army soldier was issued with two leather sheath's to cover the knife and the fork from the M1926 knife fork and spoon set.
These where used when carrying the K.F.S. set in the M1928 haversack (doughboy) pack and the M1936 field pack (musette bag).
There are only two covers one for the fork and the shaped one for the knife, a sheath was not issued for the spoon as it has no pointed edges.
Made to the same specification as the war time ones with the reversed (rough) side on the outside and the smooth leather side on the inside.
Price is for a set (two) leather sheath covers for the American M1926 knife fork and spoon sets (knife, fork and spoon are not included).
