US WW2 Ration Box Original Unknow box 3

Heavy duty cardboard box which was used to transport some sort of rations. These are not the K ration boxes. These where used to transport things like tins of fruit or powered milk etc.

We have a few of these boxes with different stampings on them, we are selling them individually as the condition varies.

The reason we have a few is that we purchased a large quantity of metal soap boxes a long time ago and the soap boxes where packed in these boxes.

Because the boxes have been re-used to store soap tins, some of the original stamps/marks have been painted over and a new stencil added to the ends listing what is inside, so they say soap boxes.

This box measures 32 x 19 x 50cm.

Most of the original markings have been painted over so it is unknown what would have been inside this box, but it does have the 12 dirty circle markings on the inside so it could have been tins of fruit etc. 

The soap tins inside these boxes where American WW2 metal soap tins, so it looks like they were sold or given to the British army at some stage.
