German WW2 Dot 44 camouflage uniform in the "Erbsenmuster" camouflage pattern which is more commonly called "Pea Pattern" or"Pea Dot" camouflage.
This top quality reproduction is made in a very good HBT (Herring Bone Twill) in the correct coarse cloth which is a mix of lined/rayon combined with the excellent Dot camouflage print make for a truly exceptional uniform.
This suit made from course HBT is generally called the 1944 model, there was also a suit made from drill fabric which is normally referred to as the model 1943
The two piece uniform was introduced for work wear and combat wear, the actual first production date of the pea dot suit is not known but it is generally accepted that they must have been in production in 1943 to have enough uniforms to be issued by March 1944.
The pea dot M1944 tunic was not designed to be worn with any insignia on the collars or shoulder boards, so there are no fixings for shoulder boards. The only insignia worn would be the SS arm eagle and the sew arm rank. Although most soldiers did not sew any rank on these camouflage tunics. Can be seen being worn over the wool uniform and by itself with the undershirt underneath.
This fully featured quality reproduction of the M1944 Pea Dot camouflage 4 pocket tunic by Richard Underwood Militaria includes:
We also have the matching trousers for these tunics, see related items below.
