Original WW1 British Brodie Mk2 Helmet
This is an example of a British WW1 MK2 Brodie Helmet still with the leather chinstrap ( broken)and metal buckle, plus has the original paint finish in a olive green with the rough sand finish on the outside,
The helmet steel shell is stamped with the makers intials and name ( HS 446) Hadfields Limted Sheffield plus the company that rolled the steel which is the number 446
The original oil cloth liner is still in good contion, flexible and not sticky
This is the British model with the chinstrap hangers attached by split pins instead of rivets as used on US WW1 Helmets
The liner has the Rubber doughnut ring which was used from 1917 onwards.
