These tins were sent to the front line for British and commonwealth troops in 1914 for Christmas by Princess Mary. Inside originally contained treats for the soldiers and there was different versions issued.

These tins were either kept by the soldier and used as a storage box or send home to family or loved ones as a keep sake.
