WW2 US Parachute First Aid Packet for Airborne Helmet

£9.99 £8.32

American Parachutist First aid packet was an extra first aid kit issued to all assault troops in battles such as the D-Day landings, they where issued as an extra first aid kit and contained a bandage, morphine and a tourniquet.

This first aid packet kit, is mainly associated with US Airborne units like the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division as they where worn very prominent on the likes of the Airborne helmet nets so they can be seen in almost every picture of a US para in Normandy. They where issued to all the assault troops that took part in the Normandy landings so all the US Infantry units that landed on the beaches like the Rangers and 29th Infantry Division would have worn one of these tied to their webbing for instant use, even so they are generally called a parachute or airborne first aid packets.

These replica "airborne"  first aid dressings are made like the originals with the cotton duck fabric which is water repellent and it has small V cuts on the side so it can be easily ripped open. The front has the words "FIRST-AID" printed in black ink. The first aid packet is attached to your kit by two cotton ties which are 2cm (3/4") wide and have the distinctive zig-zag pattern on them.

The inside is padded to give the impression that it is full, so it is ready to tie onto your para helmet net, webbing or D-Day assault vest.

Price is for 1 x Parachute first aid packet used by US Infantry assault soldiers, Glider troops and Airborne troops.

Colour: Tan, khaki.
