US M43 E Tool Cover 1943 Entrenching Tool Carrier Tan by C.S.
M1943 entrenching tool carrier, the M43 E tool was introduced during WW2 and replaced the old WW1 designed T handle shovel. The M43 E tool had a folding head so it could be used as a pick or a shovel by turning the angle of the head. The folding head also made it easier to carry.
The M43 E tool carrier or cover has a single fixed belt attachment on the back, it has the standard metal wire belt hooks used on most WW2 pouches. The inside of the flap has leather reinforced corners and strip of reinforced canvas webbing in the middle to prevent wear on the flap from the edges of the M43 entrenching tool. The edges are stitched and riveted just like the originals.
Stamped on the front with "U.S." and "Combat Serviceable 1942" on the back.
