USMC M61 Belt Vietnam M1961 Cartridge Belt by Kay Canvas

USMC M1961 webbing belt this is the standard equipment belt issued to the US Marines in the 1960's during the Vietnam war.

Officially called the M1961 Cartridge belt, it is different to the Army M1956 belts as it has a row of female snap fasteners along the middle of the so the individual M14 magazines pouches can be clipped onto the belt.

M1961 cartridge belt features:

• 3 rows of eyelets, top row to attach suspenders middle row to adjust the size of the belt bottom row to attach extra pouches like canteen and first aid pouches.
• 1 row of female snap fasteners to clip the individual M1961 M14 ammunition pouches onto the belt, the snaps fasteners hold the pouches in place.
• Green cotton webbing.

Sizes available in two sizes medium and large, measurements are the whole length of the belt with the belt fitted at smallest and largest fittings. These are the total lengths so you will need to allow for any clothing being worn.

• Medium measures 64cm to 114cm (25" to 44"). 
• Large measures 84cm to 154cm (33" to 60").

As a rough guide you will need to allow about 5" to allow for clothing so a medium will fit a person with waist between 76cm and 102cm (30 and 40") and the large will fit a person with a waist between 96cm and 140cm (38" and 55").
