Winter 1944 M43 clothing and equipment Bastogne.
After the Normandy invasion in June 1944 the US Army was issued with new clothing and equipment. The M43 clothing and equipment gave the American military a more modern look as the clothing was now green in colour and the webbing started to appear in green also, so making them more camouflage. The clothing was more practical with longer jackets, more pockets and stronger fabrics making the US M1943 jacket and trousers one of the best designed combat uniforms of WW2. Here we have put together clothing and equipment used by the Americans in the winter of 1944 and 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge by the US Infantry, Paratroopers, Armoured troops etc.
